Apps to keep your kids safe while trick-or-treating

by internet mobile device apps on November 2, 2011

When it comes to Halloween — there’s an app
for that and your kids have probably uncovered all sorts of
different Halloween apps to download.

If you go into the app market for your Android phone or iPhone
and search “Halloween” or “trick-or-treat” there are an unlimited
number of things you’ll find. Everything from games and scary
noises to things that will actually help your child stay safe.
One of those apps is called “Trick-or-Tracker”.

The app uses the GPS in your child’s phone so you can track where
they go trick-or-treating right on your phone or computer.

There is also an app for a flashlight that will help light the
way for your child if things get a little too dark.

And of course — there are the silly apps too. One’s that make
scary noises, others that make pretty scary faces. If you search
“Zombie Booth” on your Android phone, you can turn any picture of
a face into a zombie.

There’s also an app called “Ghost Radar” that claims to measure
electromagnetic fields and can detect paranormal activity.

The good news is that most of these apps are free and if they’re
not free, they’re only going to cost a dollar or two.

The “Trick-or-Tracker” app is a great way for parents to keep
track of their kids if they’re letting them go trick or treating
by themselves for the first time.
